ADOPT-AN-ANIMAL PROGRAM
Want
to help Zoo-Zoom's Exotic Animal Rescue Program?
You can
Adopt an Animal (and we'll look after the rest)....
Zoo-Zoom's
Exotic Animal Rescue & Education
Anyone can adopt an
animal...
Individuals, families, school
groups, teachers as an incentive, service organizations, even your company !
- Louisiana's own Exotic Animal Rescue located in the Crawfish Capitol, Breaux Bridge, houses over 150
animals of more than 50 different species.
- Many of these animals are exotic and would not adapt to the climate if
left alone in the wild, while others
have been permanently disabled or otherwise could not survive on their own.
(a fish won't live out of water)
- Most of these animals were O.P.P (other peoples pets). Life,
circumstances, lazy kiddies, lack of knowledge, employment & crisis are all
but a few of the contributing factors leading up to an animal being
changed into our hands. We do not judge, the rhyme or reason, simply take care
of another animal in need.
- Our Program was established in 2001, and is a unique and educational
learning tool & experience.
- Our outstanding animal collection is also utilized in the teaching and
instruction of children and adults alike in the safe handling and welfare of Exotic Animals
& Management.
- Each year, Zoo-Zoom reaches out and touches more than 12,000 school aged children
and adults where they learn to appreciate and understand wildlife, while
enjoying the interaction only animals can bring
It is very expensive to operate the Exotic Animal Rescue
Program. The cost just to feed the animals at Zoo-Zoom is more than
$12,000 per year. You can help by participating in the Adopt-An-Animal Program.
When you adopt an animal, you become a Wildlife Parent, or you can give an
adoption as a gift. Either way, you show support for Louisiana's own privately
funded Exotic Animal Rescue Program, and
demonstrate your genuine love for the animals of our kingdom. Your adopted animal, of
course, remains here with us at Zoo-Zoom, receiving the very best care possible.
Become a Wildlife Parent today and help us care for these wonderful animals.
You'll be glad you did.
Thanks
Brett & Lori Matte
